What Is A Labial Puff

A labial puff is a cosmetic procedure that aims to add volume and fullness to the labia majora, the outer folds of skin that surround the vaginal opening. It is also sometimes referred to as labia majora augmentation or labial fat transfer.

There are two main types of labial puff procedures:

  • Dermal filler injections: This involves injecting hyaluronic acid fillers into the labia majora. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that helps to keep skin hydrated and plump. The results of this procedure typically last for 6 to 12 months.
  • Fat transfer: This involves harvesting fat from another area of the body, such as the abdomen or thighs, and then injecting it into the labia majora. The results of this procedure can be more permanent than those of dermal filler injections.

Labial puff procedures are performed by cosmetic surgeons or dermatologists. The procedure is typically performed in an outpatient setting and takes about 30 to 60 minutes.

Reasons for getting a labial puff procedure:

  • To increase the size and fullness of the labia majora
  • To improve the appearance of the vulva
  • To address concerns about asymmetry or unevenness of the labia majora
  • To increase sexual satisfaction

Things to consider before getting a labial puff procedure:

  • The risks and benefits of the procedure
  • Your individual anatomy and goals
  • The cost of the procedure
  • Your recovery time

It is important to consult with a board-certified cosmetic surgeon or dermatologist to discuss whether a labial puff procedure is right for you.
